pipe 2000"
I was thinking aout a pipe for X-MAS this year (2000). So I sat down at my PC and surfed the web for some goodies. Man oh man I saw pipes !! And then I checked my purse :-( well all the pipes I liked are out of my financial control or where sold or not for sale. So I thought about making me one pipe for X-Mas by myself. I was influenced by loots of shapes and lots of story's. Old tavern or clay pipes seems to fit to the X-Mas season. So I tried to find a shape that has a small reference to the old forms but is modern and fits my taste aswell. I like small to medium pipes and prefer more straight to full bent. So my pipe should be a combination of a freehand and a traditional pipe. I rummaged in Peters stock for a block he doesn't need anymore and is big enough for my idea. I found a a nice one that could be drilled for a crossgrain from the front to the smokers side :-) and I started. This is my X-MAS pipe 2000 ! Now it has to wait for the X-Mas Cheers 1999 to be smoked in it on the 24th ! I am looking forward....
