It is hard to get a Briar block for a classical shape. This one was perfect for a Dublin and so the form has to be made. 
I love pipes not too big or too heavy so I tried to make my Dublin very slim and light. The bowl is not that small but the shank and the mouthpiece is more on the slim side. I think that gives the pipe a nice touch.

The birdeyes on the bowltop are great as you can see.

The only thing that I can criticize is that I haven't hit the spot on the bottom side with the drilling. The grain starts not exactly on the bottom but is a bit on the right side of the pipe. You can see on the picture.

On the other side I had big luck with the grain on both sides. No spots or sandpits.... big grin !!!

Now I have to find an elegant tobacco for this one !!
