Well okay I think I do not need to say much more about the name of this
one :-)
The story is that Peter was working on that pipe and found a large spot on the bottom of the Briar block. after the drilling he said "hey Martin take it and see what you gonna make out of this". The grain on the block was so super duper good that i take it with me and thought over it for some day's. Then i had the idea how to carve a pipe with this piece. When you look at the flat stem bottom you know where the spot was :-) But I had to find a form to get some advantage out of this flat bottom :-) The grain showed me the form and all other was just workmanship. I did all my working in Peters workshop. Again here i did not used any stain or something. Just polishing and some Carnauba ! |
