A very light and more on the classic side pipe. At first i thought it has nothing very special till i looked and looked and examined more and more. The more i feel this pipe and the more i can hold and smoke and look at it it becomes better and better. The pipe is a crossgrain but the crossgrain is from the frontside to the backside were the smoker usually is :-) The grain is horizontal on the bowltop and vertical on the stem. IMO this is a very nice way to compliment the grain on a classical shape. The frontside is full of super small birdeyes and the grain is very very tight as you can see. When you look at the little peak on the bottom you see how this makes the pipe more dynamic looking and the biggest advantage is that this peak makes the pipe stand right up when on the table. Smokes like a dream and is so light when holding with the theeth. A winner !! |
