this is my winning pipe for the pipes & tobaccos pipe carving contest 2001
it is one of the reasons why I try to start selling my pipes. it is very good to hear  that my work recieves recognition...

I made this one because some friends mentioned the 1/2 bent Billard from Dunhill to be one of "THE" classical shapes. So I tried one and I had the big luck to get this wood. the Briar is close to over all symmetric and has a very nice contrast. but this is something you can see by your own :-))

the pipe is about a 4 in size when compared to a Dunhill. a touch of a thinner and more elegant shank and of course it is not so much bent. but I guess that is my personal feeling.....I hope you like it too !
